Evelyn "Evie" Chan is a classically trained ballet dancer from Portland, Oregon. A Youth Company Member at The Portland Ballet since 2021, she trains in curriculum Level 6B (placed in highest level since 2022) under the direction of Nancy Davis, John Clifford, Elizabeth Guerin, and Josie Moseley, with 12+ hours of technique training plus 8+ hours of company rehearsal a week.
 

Evie's foundational training began at the School of Oregon Ballet Theatre (2012–2021), followed by acceptance into prestigious summer programs including American Ballet Theatre Collegiate Intensive (2025), The Washington School of Ballet 5-week Summer intensive (2024, 2025) and Repertoire Experience (2024) with request to stay for the 2024-25 school year as a Junior Trainee, Kaatsbaan Ballet (2023), State Street Ballet with a $250 merit scholarship (2023), and Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet virtual intensives (2020, 2021).

On stage, Evie has performed soloist and featured corps roles in Tom Gold's Petrushka, John Clifford's Firebird, John Clifford's A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Marius Petipa's Paquita, Tom Gold's Carnival of the Animals, and John Clifford's The Enchanted Toyshop with The Portland Ballet, as well as children’s roles in professional productions of Christopher Stowell's The Sleeping Beauty, Septime Webre's Alice in Wonderland, and George Balanchine's The Nutcracker with Oregon Ballet Theatre.
